Bare Bait Dance: When The Dust Settles

  • The West Side Theater 1200 Shakespeare Street Missoula, MT, 59802 United States (map)

When the Dust Settles is a look back at both our last couple years as well as other moments in history where we’ve come together in solidarity. With the help of the Company, BBD Director, Joy French, premieres a new evening-length concert celebrating the human-spirit’s ability to heal and find connection through turmoil.

For its 11th season, Founder and Executive Director, Joy French, choreographs an evening-length production on seven professional company dancers and three High School apprentices. When the Dust Settles is a look at how community and individuals engage in the structure of everyday life... and then how we react when those habits are disrupted. While inevitably hopeful, the show plays with some themes from the past couple of years: traditions, solidarity, confusion, and the unknown. The work is anchored to the dynamic power of the BBD company with French's signature choreographic style of virtuosity and playfulness.
