MUSE, the exciting new production from Kinetic Convergence Dance (KCD), dismantles the age-old myth of the artist and muse relationship. Instead, it proposes a new question: when creation hinges on objectification, who is in control... and at what cost?

In a departure from traditional modes of dance creation, six choreographers bring five distinct creative processes to the stage, exposing the contradictions and shared truths that exist among them. Forget about “too many cooks in the kitchen” - this is about the artists. The passion. The volatility. The messiness of creative inspiration itself. In this extravaganza of multiplicities, where contradictions dance alongside irrationality, the lines between love and commodification blur. Muse invites audiences to witness the creative process in its provocative honesty. Who gets to create? Who gets to be created? Who, what, or where are our muses? KCD's new show promises to tackle these questions - and more - in the most entertainingly uncomfortable ways.
